The emergency calling function may be faulty in C-Class and S-Class models, prompting a recall by Mercedes-Benz.
Mercedes-Benz Australia has issued a recall of 657 examples of the 2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class and S-Class due to a potential software issue.
The recall notice, published by the Department of Infrastructure, says the car’s emergency call system (known as eCall) may be deactivated.
Mercedes-Benz Australia is contacting owners to organise an inspection and repair of the defect.
