2019 Peugeot Boxer recalled in Australia with steering fault

A fault could cause the steering to become loose, according to the manufacturer.

Inchape – the Australian distributor for Peugeot – has recalled 3 examples of the 2019 Peugeot Boxer, citing a potential fault with the steering system.

The affected vehicles are stamped Model Year 2019.

The recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says: “The steering pivot joint bolts may not meet manufacturing specifications and may become loose. If the joint becomes loose the steering may deviate from its desired trajectory.

“If the steering deviates from its desired trajectory it may increase the risk of collision, which could result in injury or death of vehicle occupants and/or other road users.”
