Expect a range of new electric and commercial vehicles – some of which fall into both categories – from the French car maker this year.
The Renault brand underwent significant change in 2021.
After the factory-backed subsidiary recorded five years of continuous sales decline, the operation was disbanded and rights were passed to key Australian independent vehicle importer, Ateco.
Under new guidance, Renault’s sales figures have increased, with a year-on-year increase of over five per cent. Other moves have included the introduction of 2022 Renault Arkana small SUV from $33,990 before on-road costs.
Next year, expect an interesting selection of French metal to arrive in Australia. Alongside an all-new, SUV-styled and fully-electric Renault Megane – which is yet to be officially confirmed, but is expected in late 2022 or sometime in 2023 – the brand also plans to introduce a whole raft of new commercial vehicles.
The 2022 Renault commercial vehicle range is set to be bolstered by the all-new 2022 Renault Kangoo small van – with an upgraded fully-electric variant in the range – and the facelifted 2022 Renault Trafic mid-sized van.
