An all-new flagship SUV from the British brand, including a plug-in hybrid variant, while an Ultimate Edition farewells an old favourite.
The biggest news from Land Rover’s premium Range Rover arm is the arrival of an all-new Range Rover flagship in the middle of the year. The Indian-owned British brand promises both standard- and long-wheelbase variants of its flagship upper large SUV in June, while electrified powertrains will join the fray in the latter half of 2022.
A plug-in hybrid Range Rover P510e will arrive in the latter half of the year, bringing with it a 294kW six-cylinder petrol engine paired with a 105kW electric motor. Range Rover claims the P510e is good for around 80km of pure electric-only driving. Pricing is still to be confirmed.
The ever-popular Range Rover Sport line-up will be joined a by a new high-performance SVR Ultimate Edition variant in January, something of a farewell for the current Sport range as an all-new model waits in the wings for 2023. It features the same 423kW/700Nm 5.0-litre supercharged petrol V8 engine as the rest of the SVR range, and will ask for close to $300,000 when it lobs here in January.
