The Chinese car maker is keeping its future plans largely under wraps for now, however a hybrid variant of its H6 SUV has been confirmed for local launch before the end of March.
Chinese car maker Haval had an impressive 2021, with local sales increasing 210 per cent over the 12 months prior.
For 2022 the marque is keeping its cards close, and sales are expected to be driven primarily by the existing petrol-powered H6 and Jolion SUV line-up.
However, we do know a new hybrid variant of the H6 is also slated for showroom arrival before the end of March.
Further, it’s suggest the all-electric ‘Ora’ sub-brand could be launched locally sometime between April and September. Initially, the five-door Good Cat hatchback will likely be the sole offering.
Competitive pricing and improved build quality has led to a rapid rise in the prevalence of Chinese-built cars Down Under in recent years.
VFACTS industry sales data showed 2021 was the first year in which China broke into the Top 10 countries of origin locally.
