2020-2021 Mercedes-Benz GLB recalled in Australia

A manufacturing fault could cause aerodynamic devices to fall from the vehicle during use, according to the recall notice.

Mercedes-Benz Australia has recalled 61 examples of its 2020-2021 Mercedes-Benz GLB, citing a potential fault with fixed aerodynamic devices.

The affected vehicles are stamped Model Years 2020 and 2021.

The recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says: “A side spoiler may detach from the vehicle whilst it is being driven. This would increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death of other road users.

“Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Mercedes-Benz and are asked to make arrangements with their nearest authorised Mercedes-Benz dealership to have the work carried out as soon as possible.”
