A 2001 Volvo S80 racks up over one million kms in the UK

A 2001 Volvo S80 has surfaced in England with an original 717,000 miles (1,153,899km) on the odometer. The 2.5D model, powered by a 2.5-litre turbo-diesel making 103kW and 290Nm, was bought new in 2001 and put in to service as a VIP hire car. It covered the first 400,000 miles (643,000km) in the first three years of its working life before finding a second life as an airport taxi.
