2015 Peugeot 308 recalled for steering fix

A selection of 2015 Peugeot 308 vehicles sold during January 2015 have been recalled this week, over concerns faulty bolts could cause a loss of steering control.

The French manufacturer reports affected units may be fitted with front wishbone bolts that do not meet correct specifications.

If the condition occurs, the bolts could break, causing the front wheels to tilt and potentially affect steering control. This poses a potential hazard to the driver and other road users.

The recalled 308 models were sold from 2 January 2015 through 31 January 2015. A VIN list for these vehicles can be viewed here.

Known owners will be contacted via mail, and will be advised to present their 308 to their local Peugeot dealer to have replacement bolts installed.
