Toyota and Subaru are collaborating on a new fully-electric SUV

Images of an upcoming fully-electric Toyota SUV show the striking similarities between it and a Subaru concept shown earlier this year. It's believed the unnamed concept will be the Subaru Evoltis and will share its electric 'skateboard' platform – as well as much of its SUV body – with the mysterious Toyota, first seen in patent filings revealed last month.

2020 Suzuki Swift Sport Series II automatic review

As far as mid-model updates go, the 2020 Suzuki Swift Sport Series II is pretty tame. There are no external styling upgrades and only the smallest of equipment tweaks. The easiest tell, for the car you see here at least, is the new Flame Orange and black roof hero-paint combo, while the six other single colours from the earlier range continue. Production of Subaru BRZ and Toyota 86 appears to end

Production of the current Subaru BRZ looks set to wrap up. A memo posted to the brand’s Japanese website said that any new orders for the car could only be satisfied by remaining dealer stock, and heavily implied that production of the current model was ending. A spokesperson for the brand's Australia division told CarAdvice they were currently "awaiting clarification from Subaru in Japan regarding production." This story will be updated when further information becomes available.

2021 Maserati Quattroporte hybrid spy photos

The 2021 Maserati Quattroporte has been spied in testing in light camouflage, hinting at what could be a hybrid version for the ageing model. Two weeks ago Maserati debuted a hybrid version of its smaller Ghibli sedan, paving the way for an electrified version of the Quattroporte. As Maserati is owned by the Fiat-Chrysler group (FCA), it's possible the Quattroporte could borrow some or all of its battery technology from the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid – a people mover sold in the US.
