2021-2023 Nissan Navara Warrior recalled due to incorrect jack

More than 4000 examples of Nissan’s Navara Warrior have been recalled, as the ute’s supplied jack may not be able to lift its front wheels high enough off the ground to be changed.

Nissan Australia and Premcar have recalled 4437 examples of the 2021-2023 Nissan Navara Warrior, after it was discovered the jack supplied with the ute may not be able to lift its front wheels high enough to be changed.

The Navara is sent from Nissan’s Thailand factory to Melbourne-based upgrade specialists Premcar – the firm formerly responsible for Ford Performance Vehicles (FPV) – where the dual-cab is given the ‘Warrior’ treatment, in both SL and Pro-4X guise.

The recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says: “The jack provided with the vehicle does not meet the Australian Consumer Product Safety Standard and may fail to lift the front axle high enough to change the tyres.

“There is no safety hazard and the defect will not affect the performance of the vehicle.”

While the Navara Warrior is sold in Nissan’s Australian showrooms, it is not listed on the car-maker’s local website – instead Premcar has established online site for its Warrior vehicles.

Despite this, owners have been advised to contact their local Nissan dealer for instructions of action to be taken, including rectification of the issue.
