A left-hand-drive example of the Ferrari Roma Spider supercar has arrived in Australia ahead of first customer deliveries next year.
The 2024 Ferrari Roma Spider will be priced from $520,300 plus on-road costs when customer deliveries commence in Australia in the second quarter of 2024 (April to June).
The convertible Roma costs $110,412 more than the $409,800 coupe on which it is based, according to the latest price list for the hard-top version in industry guide Redbook.
A blue, left-hand-drive example has been brought to Australia by Ferrari for display and early customer previews ahead of the start of customer deliveries next year.
The Spider shares the coupe’s 3.9-litre twin-turbo petrol V8 developing 456kW and 760Nm, powering the rear wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Ferrari claims a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 3.4 seconds – matching the coupe – towards a top speed in excess of 320km/h.
The Roma Spider is Ferrari’s first front-engined convertible with a soft-top roof – not a retractable hard-top – since the Daytona (365 GTS/4) ended production in 1973, half a century ago.
It is the first soft-top Ferrari – irrespective of where the engine is placed – since the F430 Spider of 2005.
The Italian supercar specialist claims the soft-top roof can raise or lower at speeds up to 60km/h in 13.5 seconds, half a second quicker than the Portofino retractable hard-top convertible the Roma Spider replaces.
The 2024 Ferrari Roma Spider is due to commence customer deliveries in Australia next year.
