The new Peugeot E-3008 has been unveiled inside and out, though further technical details about the electric SUV are due later this week.
French car-maker Peugeot has taken the covers off its new 3008 SUV, all but completely revealing the next-generation before it is unveiled in full later this week.
The third-generation 3008 will no longer be offered with petrol or diesel power, instead going electric-only and adopting the E-3008 moniker across all model grades.
Familiar design elements from Peugeot’s model line-up have been carried across to the E-3008, such as the brand’s three vertical ‘claw’ LED daytime running lights, its futuristic-style grille and black wheel arch trim.
As previewed by spy photos, the Peugeot E-3008 has adopted a coupe-inspired shape with a sloping roofline akin to a BMW X4 or Tesla Model Y – though it remains as a high-riding SUV with ample ground clearance.
At the rear, the E-3008 features a full-width tail-light which is flanked by three diagonal brake lights, all of which sits below a sporty roof spoiler – giving it a Range Rover Sport-esque appearance from behind.
Peugeot revealed the E-3008’s interior in June, previewing its 21-inch curved screen (incorporates the SUV’s digital instrument cluster and infotainment display) and rectangular steering wheel with touch-sensitive buttons.
More details about the Peugeot E-3008 – such as its power and torque figures, battery size and driving range – are due to be announced later this week.
