2023 Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio price and specs

A mild update to Alfa Romeo’s Giulia sedan and Stelvio SUV has not led to a price increase, with new entry-level variants of both models bringing down their base prices.

  • 2023 Alfa Romeo Giulia, Alfa Romeo Stelvio pricing and specifications
  • New ‘Ti’ grades replace ‘Veloce’ as entry-level variant
  • Minor equipment tweaks without price increase
  • Priced from $68,450 (Giulia)/$76,450 (Stelvio) plus on-road costs

The 2023 Alfa Romeo Giulia sedan and Stelvio SUV have been priced for Australia, ahead of the facelifted models arriving in local showrooms this month.

A minor facelift and equipment update for the Giulia and Stelvio was revealed in October 2022, with both Alfa Romeo models now going on sale in Australia with a lesser-equipped ‘Ti’ variant – sitting below the Veloce which became the entry grade in 2021.

The introduction of the new base variant has lowered the starting price of the sedan and SUV by $6500, with the Giulia now priced from $68,450 plus on-road costs while the Stelvio opens at $76,450 plus on-roads.

Alfa Romeo hasn’t changed the price of the Giulia and Stelvio’s Veloce grades, which continue to be priced from $74,950 and $82,950, respectively.

The biggest change for 2023 is the addition of matrix LED headlights – standard across all grades – which replace the outgoing model’s outdated bi-xenons and include a ‘three-eye’ signature, similar to Alfa Romeo’s new Tonale small SUV.

The updated headlights incorporate sequential LED indicators, and are mounted in a mildly revised front bumper. A tweaked LED tail-light housing is the only change at the rear.

Inside, the facelifted Giulia and Tonala are equipped with a larger 12.3-inch digital dash cluster – up from a 7.0-inch information display with analogue gauges – which can provide three different layouts.

While there are equipment differences between the Ti and Veloce (more below), both variants across the Giulia and Stelvio are equipped with a suite of advanced driver safety technology, including autonomous emergency braking (AEB), adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition and lane-keep assist.

The two models continue to be powered by a turbocharged, 2.0-litre four-cylinder – developing 206kW/400Nm – which is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, driving the rear wheels of the Giulia and all four wheels in the Stelvio.

According to Alfa Romeo, the high-performance Quadrifoglio grades of the Giulia and Stelvio are due to arrive in the fourth quarter of 2023 (October to December), with pricing to be announced closer to its local launch.
