2024 Ram 1500 Revolution electric pick-up concept to be revealed in January 2023

Exactly a year to the day after Chevrolet showed its electric pick-up, Ram has announced its zero-emissions ute will make its debut in concept form – with performance numbers expected to make headlines.

The electric Ram 1500 ‘Revolution’ pick-up will be unveiled as a concept in January, the company has announced.

Ram says it will show off the 1500 Revolution electric vehicle (EV) concept at the Consumer Electronics Show tech exhibition, held in Las Vegas in early 2023 – months after the pick-up was expected to be revealed – ahead of first customer deliveries in 2024.

In September, Ram CEO Mike Koval Jr told Fox News the zero-emissions ute concept would be making its debut in November, but it appears the company has pushed that back to now coincide with the CES trade show – a year to the day after Chevrolet showed off its Silverado EV.

It makes Ram the last of the big players to bring an electric pick-up to market, with Ford already selling – and selling out of – its F-150 Lightning in 2022.

While the Chevrolet Silverado EV is expected to hit showrooms in mid-2023, the Ram 1500 Revolution won’t begin deliveries until 2024.

Ram has already hinted at the 1500 Revolution overtaking its rivals in terms of power, despite the range-topping F-150 Lightning and Silverado EV variants putting out 433kW and 495kW respectively.

Two smaller, HiLux-sized Ram utes are also believed to be on the way – one based on an electric platform, with a second petrol-powered model designed for South American and other emerging markets – though these aren’t likely to be shown to the public until closer to their launches by 2026.

The 2024 Ram 1500 Revolution concept will make its debut in the early hours of 6 January 2023.
