2019-2021 Porsche Taycan recalled

A wiring harness could wear through, prompting a recall for a number of Porsche Taycan models.

Porsche Australia has issued a recall of 406 examples of the 2022 Porsche Taycan range due to a potential wiring issue.

The recall notice, published by the Department of Infrastructure, says the wiring harness under the front seats of the Taycan variants could become damaged, potentially activating warning lights on the instrument cluster.

The affected vehicles were sold between 2019 and 2021. Interestingly, the low-riding Taycan Sport Turismo is included in the recall, despite this body style not being sold in Australia.

Porsche is contacting owners to organise an inspection and repair of the defect.

A list of vehicle identification numbers of the 406 cars involved in the recall can be found here and here.
