The six-metre sedan was first owned by The King, and then the doctor who killed him.
A 1975 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham once owned by Elvis Presley has been listed for sale.
The 5936mm yacht-like sedan – which ‘The King’ bought new for $12,512 in 1974 – was driven for a year before being gifted to the infamous Doctor George Nichopoulos.
‘Dr Nick’ – as the
practitioner was popularly known – would later go down in folklore for overprescribing the opiates which would ultimately lead to the superstar’s demise.
Featuring a custom ordered sunroof, bonnet-mounted ‘Goddess,’ and ‘1-ELVIS’ plates, the five-seater is finished in Bombay Yellow.
Images published with the listing reveal a tattered interior, cracked plastic, light surface rust, and peeling paint – not significant faults for a car 50 years old, but far from pristine.
An 8.2-litre V8 petrol engine sends 141kW/488Nm to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission.
This allows the 2378kg behemoth to accelerate from 0-100km/h in a leisurely 13.8 seconds, on the way to a top speed of approximately 180km/h.
Elvis Presley was a Cadillac fanatic, and bought almost 250 limousines from the General Motors-owned luxury carmaker during his relatively-short lifetime.
The most famous – a bright pink 1955 Cadillac Fleetwood – is now on permanent display at the Graceland museum, in Memphis, Tennessee.
The car for sale is now located in Sweden, and bidding opened on 8th January 2022 – Elvis’ birthday.
At the time of publishing, the highest bid sits at €12,000 ($AU19,000).
