2022 Ford Everest to get Ford Ranger tough-truck looks

The new Ford Everest has been caught on camera wearing less disguise than before, revealing the Ford Ranger and F-Series-inspired front-end appearance appears to have made it onto the popular four-wheel-drive.

This may have seemed obvious to Ford fans – given the links between the current Ford Ranger and Ford Everest – but it now appears the similarities between the two vehicles are set to continue with the new models.

Fresh spy photos show the 2022 Ford Everest seems certain to wear a slightly modified version of the tough truck front-end appearance from the next Ford Ranger – itself inspired by the latest Ford F-Series.

A lightly-camouflaged example of the new Ford Everest was caught on camera testing in Thailand, where the vehicle is made alongside the Ford Ranger ute.

The photos – published by the Kurdistan Automotive Blog on Instagram – show the wide bar grille theme has carried over to the family seven-seater.

It is unclear when the 2022 Ford Everest will be unveiled in all its glory, but it is expected to be due in Australian showrooms in the second half of the year, soon after the 2022 Ford Ranger with which it shares its underpinnings.

Meanwhile, as reported earlier, the 2022 Ford Everest is expected to be a game-changer among its peers.

The new-generation Ford Everest four-wheel-drive is expected to have the option of the turbo diesel V6 from the Ford F-150 (also shared with the Ford Ranger) when it goes on sale in Australia next year. Click here for more on that story.
