Jaguar Land Rover has recalled 54 examples of its 2020-2021 Land Rover Discovery SUV in Australia, citing a fault with the seatbelt system.
The affected vehicles are designated Model Years 2020-2021.
The recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says: “The Occupancy Detection Sensor System (ODS) may not have been installed in the front passenger seat. As a result, there will be no warning if the passenger seat belt is not buckled when the seat is occupied.
“If the driver is not made aware that the front passenger is not wearing their seat belt then in the event of an accident, there will be an increased risk of injury or death to the front passenger seat occupant.”
