2018-2020 Hyundai Kona EV and Nexo recalled with brake fault

Hyundai Australia has recalled 1072 examples of its Kona Electric and hydrogen-powered Nexo, citing a fault with the Integrated Electronic Brake system (IEB). The affected vehicles were sold between 1 May 2018 and 31 December 2020, with Model Years ranging between 2018 and 2020. The recall notice, lodged with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), says “a software fault in the IEB may significantly reduce braking performance.”
