World’s fastest car: Bugatti Veyron for sale $2.2 million

An immaculate low-kilometre example of the Bugatti Veyron – once the world’s fastest car – is for sale in the UK for £1.2 million, or $AUD 2.2 million, which is not far off what it cost new, despite being 13 years old. The 2007 model is one of just 450 examples built from 2005 to 2015, and has just 828 miles (or 1332km) on the odometer. It is powered by a mammoth quad turbo 8.0-litre W16 engine (two V8s mounted back to back) with an output of 1001 horsepower (746kW) and 1250Nm of torque.
