2020 Volkswagen Touareg recalled for leak that could damage transmission

Volkswagen Australia has issued a recall of 72 examples of its 2020 Touareg SUV due to a transmission leak that could result in damage. The recall notice, lodged with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), says an oil pipe fitted to the transmission may have been welded incorrectly, which can result in a leak. If left unattended, the transmission can lose “several litres” of fluid, which could lead to damage of the unit.
