Suzuki to stop selling diesels in India due to new rules

Maruti Suzuki, India's dominant car maker, will eliminate diesel engines from its passenger car range starting from April next year. Maruti Suzuki chairman's R C Bhargava confirmed the move with Quartz. He did leave a little bit of wiggle room, though, stating “if we find there is a market for diesel cars [after the new emissions rules take effect] we will develop it in a reasonable amount of time".
