Jaguar XF joins Takata recall

Jaguar Land Rover Australia has added the first-generation XF (model code X250, pre- and post-facelift) to the ever-growing list of cars included in the Takata airbag recall. As with all cars included in the Takata recall, a combination of heat and humidity can make the airbag propellant degrade over time. Should that happen, the metal inflator housing can rupture when the airbag is activated in a crash, sending metal fragments shooting into the cabin.
