The Bugatti Chiron has only been on the road for a year, but the first owners are already looking to move their cars on – for a handy profit, naturally.
A black Chiron with just 2140km on the odometer is up for sale in the UK, with a staggering $4.6 million price tag to boot.
Although the price is eye-watering, the Chiron has been treated to some choice option extras. The owner paid £53,226 ($90,580) for the full leather and carbon-fibre interior, and forked out £15,960 ($27,160) for carbon-fibre bucket seats, while the exterior is wrapped in a paint protection film.
Rather than opting for a two-tone paint finish, the owner specced the car in Nocturne Black with matching Beluga Black Leather.
Of course, the defining characteristic of the Chiron is the quad-turbo 8.0-litre W16 engine under the bonnet. With 1500hp (1119kW) of power and 1600Nm of torque, it has a limited top speed of 261mph (420km/h). Should tyre technology allow (eventually) the car is, according to Bugatti, capable of cracking the 300mph (483km/h).
The 100km/h sprint is dispatched in 2.5 seconds, for some pretty impressive traffic-light drag credentials.
At the moment, the Chiron is up for sale through Romans in the UK. Although it’s listed as POA, Evo is reporting a £3.6 million ($4.6 million) price for the hypercar, which is warrantied until 2021.
That would be £1.1 million ($1.87 million) more than list price, which seems incredibly steep when you consider the fact Bugatti will still you a car. The main benefit of buying used is being able to skip the three- or four-year waiting list.
And who knows, if prices continue to rise, the new owner might even be making a shrewd investment?
