Michael Pachota has been announced today as the new General Manager for the automotive division of Suzuki Australia, taking a similar path to his predecessor, Andrew Moore.
Both had previously held the post of National Sales Manager before ascending to the top end of the Suzuki brand’s automotive arm in Australia. Pachota will report to Suzuki Australia Managing Director, Yoshiyuki Hakamata.
Pachota’s promotion to General Manager follows news that Moore has been made Managing Director of Renault Australia, replacing Justin Hocevar.
Joining Suzuki Australia in 2012, Pachota worked first as a District Sales Manager in New South Wales and the ACT, stepping up to State Sales Manager not long after. In 2015, he was promoted to National Sales Manager.
Before Suzuki, Pachota worked in automotive retail.
“Over the last five years with Suzuki Australia, Michael has built outstanding relationships with our network of dealers, gained a solid understanding of our business, and excelled in every challenge presented to him,” Hakamata said.
Pachota said: “I’m honoured to have been given the opportunity to lead such a fantastic team into an exciting new era of growth. My passion for the Suzuki brand has driven me to new heights within the organisation and I look forward to tackling this next challenge head-on.
“I would like to thank Andrew Moore for his support over the years, our time working together is one that I truly value, and I wish him all the best with his future endeavors.”
