The Ram Trucks range has been recalled by local distributor American Special Vehicles (ASV), over concerns the turn signals may stop working without notification – 450 vehicles are affected.
According to the manufacturer, the turn signal speed doesn’t change when a globe isn’t working.
If the condition occurs, the driver will be unaware that the globe isn’t working, which poses an accident risk for the vehicle’s occupants and other road users.
The 450 recalled trucks were built during November 2015. Both the 2500 and 3500 ranges are affected.
Owners of the affected trucks will be contacted once parts become available, and will be requested to contact American Special Vehicles to arrange for an inspection and repair of their vehicle.
