Australian road toll rises in 2019

The number of people killed on Australian roads rose again in 2019, with the national road toll finishing at 1182. Victoria had a horror year on the roads, with 50 more lives lost than the year before, while South Australia saw its death toll rise by 33. The road toll also increased in New South Wales and Western Australia, while the remaining states and territories had fewer deaths on their roads. In total, 1182 people died on the road in Australia last year – up 47 on 2018.

BMW i3 Urban Suite revealed

BMW has revealed the i3 Urban Suite ahead of its debut at the 2020 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Although it shares its exterior and powertrain with the mould-breaking i3 electric vehicle, the Urban Suite subs its four-seat interior for a two-seat setup designed to evoke "the relaxed feel of a boutique hotel". The rear passenger sits in a large, business class seat with a footrest, a screen that flips down from the roof lining, and a 'personal sound zone'.

2020 Genesis GV80 revealed

Genesis has released official photographs of its upcoming GV80, the brand’s first crossover. Based on the same platform as the upcoming, second-generation G80 sedan, it's set to launch in South Korea this month with exports commencing later in the year. We’ve already seen the GV80, inside and out, thanks to a series of leaked photographs and spy shots.
